John Stamos' memoir If You Would Have Told Me was my first five-star book of the year. I just loved this book and I felt it spoke to me. I can't tell you how many times I paused to re-listen or try to remember some of these quotes.

" Be careful what you throw out in the universe because once you shout your intentions to the sky, the world starts to spin your dreams into reality."

"It's funny how when you stop trying to manage your emotions and just allow things to happen authentically life falls into place."

"It's cliche to try to talk about life in the same breathe as theatre. Shakespeare has already nailed it, writing " all the worlds a stage, and all the men and women merely players" Sinatra sang of facing " the final curtain" in "My Way."

"When we lose ourselves, it's often about giving in to the perceptions of others. This is how you see me, so this is who I am. This is what you want from me, so this is what I give you."

" You need a catchphrase. Each character on TV needs a catchphrase!"

When I first started this book I didn't think I was going to like it at all, and it became one of my favorites. If you are looking for a good memoir to dive into this is the one for you.
