Which do you prefer?

This year was the year I decided to join Audible and dive into listening to books. Unsure how I would feel about this new way to soak in books I was pleasantly surprised. This has led me to the debate of listening vs. reading books.
While there's no better feeling than sitting down with a good book listening to a book does have perks as well.
I seem to get through books I listen to quicker than reading one. While trying to prioritize reading you can also multitask while listening. I like to listen to books while I workout, do laundry, while driving, and get things done around the house. Just because I have more time to listen than read still doesn't replace the feeling of picking up a book and reading it.
This year I haven't found my favorite book reading yet, and have read more challenging books that have taken longer to finish or I have not enjoyed as much. While I have always treasured my time reading and it is a favorite hobby of mine I do love allowing myself to indulge while doing other tasks is a nice distraction and allows me to enjoy more books.
Listening vs. reading will always be a debate for me and I may never be able to decide which one I prefer, but in the end, as long as I'm immersing myself in the story and soaking it all in that's what truly matters.
