Kelly Bishop's Memoir

A must read!

If you don't recognize her by name, you will recognize her by sight. Kelly Bishop played Emily Gilmore on Gilmore Girls for seven seasons. It may be her most famous role. She has also had a lengthy career on Broadway and in film over the last several decades. She recalls her long career and her life in her memoir, The Third Gilmore Girl.

In Bishop's memoir, she talks about her role on the hit TV show Gilmore Girls, she also talks about her career prior to that. It Started in the 1970s as a dancer in the Rockets and she helped inspire the Broadway Show A Chorus Line and won a Tony Award for that role as Sheila. Kelly also discusses her personal life, from her childhood to successful relationships.

Bishop also reflects on her long-time role on Gilmore Girls, how much she loved the role of Emily Gilmore, and the impactful relationships she built with her costars while filming the series.

The Third Gilmore Girl is one of the more interesting memoirs I have read. If you like pop culture, Broadway, and memoirs this book is for you! Kelly Bishop's memoir is intriguing, motivating, and fascinating. After reading this book you will see that Kelly Bishop is more than just The Third Gilmore Girl.
