A quick but powerful read!

Taylor Jenkins Reid is one of my favorite authors, her short story Evidence Of The Affair like the rest of her books did not disappoint.
This book is short but still a good read with only one hundred pages and is written in letters between the main characters. The two characters start as perfect strangers, when the women finds letters between her husband and his mistress, she decides to write to the mistress's husband to tell him about the affair and so begins letters between them and the short story by Reid. The two begin to find comfort within each other both being able to relate to one another during the affair.
The story is told through the letters between the two main characters and we only get a glimpse of the letters their spouses share during the affair. Having the format of the story written like this is interesting since there is no background story, big picture, or subplots. The reader only sees what is shared in the letters between the two.
While reading the story I felt like I was missing something or wanted more backstory or other perspectives. On the other hand, it was nice to read a book in a different format and the simplicity of it made the story.
Taylor Jenkins Reid has a way of telling stories in different ways that make her books unique and enjoyable. This is a quick read that's worth reading, and you may even recognize some familiar characters along the way.
