Emily Henry's "Funny Story"

A good read!

Funny Story by Emily Henry is a fun book for anyone who loves reading romantic comedies. It will have you wanting to wander farmers' markets and adventure on the shores of the Great Lakes.

Daphne moved to Wanning Bay with her fiancé Peter while leaving behind her mom in Virginia to try to put down roots in the shadows of Peter who is moving back to his hometown. Soon after she makes the move and lands her dream job as a children's librarian she finds out that Peter has rekindled with his childhood flame Petra.

Living in an unfamiliar place with her world upside down, Daphne moves in with Petra's ex-boyfriend Miles. While Miles and Daphne each deal with their heartbreak on their own terms, the pair spark an unlikely friendship, and romantic sparks will fly in a complicated way.

The story is told from Daphne's perspective she tells the story in a way of heartbreak not just by Peter but also by her friends in the past. The story shows how you can rebuild your life into an even better version with forgiveness and unexpected friendships where you can least expect it.

Funny Story by Emily Henry is one of her classic romantic comedies. I loved the beginning of the book and couldn't put it down but the end was a little slow and drawn out. The characters are relatable as you watch them heal from their own pain and heartbreak. The story also shines on maintaining relationships with people that are important to you and love you for who you are.
