When someone asks for a book recommendation.

When people ask for a book recommendation or we start chatting about reading there is usually chatter about what we like and don't like to read. I probably wouldn't recommend a mystery if they love reading romantic comedies. Still, there are books I would recommend to anyone no matter what kind of reader they are.

Here are the top four books I would recommend to anyone.

Everyone Here Is Lying by Shari Lapena: This book is a mystery and thriller, no matter who you are and what you like to read you will love this book. I have recommended it to a couple of different people now.

Daisy Jones And The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid: I love this book and could go on and on about it. It is written from such an interesting perspective and format. The story will pull you in and you won't be able to put it down.

The Heaven & Earth Grocery Store by James McBride: This historical fiction book that can seem slow and long at times with lots of background information is worth the read. The ending and entire story are so magical and special that everyone should read the story at least once.

A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman: I loved this book it was so well written and talks about the power of relationships. It's a feel-good book with a positive message about being a good neighbor.

No matter what type of reader you are or where you are in your reading journey these books should be added to your want-to-read list.
