A good listen

Every morning on my way to work I tune into The Bobby Bones Show, a syndicated morning show on the country station The Bull 101.7. I enjoy my ride with Bobby and friends as I battle the morning commute.
During the show, Bobby is always talking about his beginnings and the adventures along the way that have led him to host the top morning radio show.
Intrigued by Bobby's story and how he built his career and am always willing to read a good memoir I was ready to hear the radio personality's story. I like reading this kind of book because I always learn something new from the author and from their story of how they achieved their goals.
This was the first biography I've listened to on Audible and it read less like a book and more like a podcast and I flipped-flopped between whether I like that or not, this also may be something I have to adjust to when listening to these types of books opposed to reading them.
I gave the book 3 stars on Good Reads. I'm not sure what I was expecting but I was hoping for more from the book since I listened to him every morning. While Bobby's story is inspiring from his days of growing up in a trailer park to a syndicated radio host. I was expecting more insight on the business front and how he grew his career so quickly.
Since I am a daily listener I did enjoy the stories about each radio personality on the show and how the group formed and bonded. I also enjoyed hearing about how Bobby gives back since his success and learning from his mistakes along the way.
Bare Bones was not my favorite memoir but it also has some great stories, advice, and positivity throughout the book. Do I still listen every morning? Of course! I will also probably read the other book Bobby has written just to see if it is different and more of what I thought Bare Bones I'm Not Lonely If You're Reading This Book.
