For any time!

The Guncle by Steven Rowley is a warm hug and easy read, I laughed, smiled, and felt like I was watching a heartwarming movie while listening to this book.
Patrick is a former sitcom star who lives a recluse life in Palm Springs after losing his partner. Patrick's sister-in-law and best friend from college Sarah is sick and passes away, when he goes home to Connecticut for the funeral his brother Greg ( Sarah's husband) asks him to take care of his kids while he is in rehab for prescription pills in California.
Patrick, who has no experience with kids, takes his niece and nephew for the summer and the relationship with the two small children slowly starts to bloom with funny banter and some learning curves on both ends. As Maisie and Grant warm up to their "GUP" short for "Gay Uncle Patrick" the three navigate their way through spending time together and learn to deal with their grief.
The book shows Patrick, Maisie, and Grant's ups and downs in dealing with grief and their new life with lots of comic relief along the way.
The Guncle by Steven Rowley is a light read full of laughs, banter, and life lessons while watching the characters grow and learn about themselves.
